Research Board

Dear Visitor,

The German Textile and Fashion Industry Association and its trade and state member associations have united to join the Textile Research Board as full members, and in so doing will represent the full spectrum of interests associated with research and development. In collaboration with other partner organisations, the Research Board works to support and coordinate joint research projects in the textile and clothing industry, and its upstream and downstream industry segments.

The official website of the Textile Research Board — www.textilforschung.de — was launched on 1 July 2007 and offers an overview of the state of textile research in Germany. The broad spectrum of projects coordinated by the Textile Research Board within the scope of joint industrial research work is illustrated by the presentation of a number of sample research highlights. These highlights also serve to document the practical implementation of key subject areas that are themselves fundamental to textile research in Germany. An intuitive search feature makes it easy for any site visitor to locate topic- and market-related highlights within the archive. Furthermore, the website also offers members of affiliated textile associations and organisations access to the Research Board's extranet and the full set of the Board's research tools.
